Meet the Characters
Jamie has lots of friends among the different creatures he meets on his adventures in Ledbury—some are good and others bad.
Jamie, Lord of Ledbury
Young boys are inquisitive, imaginative and fearless— Jamie is no exception and every night he falls asleep, his house becomes a castle as he joins his Ledbury friends for adventures.
Slurpo, the Spotted Dog
Jamie’s trusted friend is a spotted dog who thinks he’s a Dalmatian, but nobody know for sure. One thing for sure is he gets Jamie out of trouble time after time.
Hoooey the Owl
He’s a good friend of Slurpo’s and often joins Jamie on his adventures. He reads a lot, is very wise and his excellent eyesight comes in handy.
Growchel the Witch
Everyone has to watch out for her because she’s an evil, awful, scary witch who eats young boys and Vegetarian Trolls. She’ll stop at nothing to trap them and often goes to the library for little boy and Troll recipes.
Gizzard the Wizard
Gizzard’s a nice old fellow but a little forgetful and often misreads the instructions from his Book of Magic or mixes up his magic commands – often with startling results.
Drool the Troll
Most Trolls live in caves, eat young boys and young vegetarian Trolls, but not Drool. He’s a member of the Reformed Troll Movement (RTM), lives under a bridge and eats MSG-free, low-calorie leaves and locally grown, organic vegetables.
Dribble the Troll
She’s the lady who tries to look her best, goes to yoga classes three times a week, eats only organic, gluten-free, sugar-free, salt-free food, enjoys socializing and is looking for a partner. She meets Drool and it’s love at first sight.
